Our Mission Statement is set out under four headings.
As a Christian Church we value the guidance and support
gained through prayer for all our activities
We intend to maintain our extensive premises, which have been recently refurbished and improved.
We acknowledge the diversity of needs in our congregation and wish to draw upon various Christian traditions in worship. We aim to deepen our spirituality and enable all members of our congregation to be involved in spirit-filled worship.
We expect our services to include relevant Bible based teaching. There should be continuity of subject matter whenever possible. Prayer and other active participation by members of the congregation should be encouraged.
We are also aware that we should include provision for those seeking a faith.
We aim to care for the pastoral needs of our church congregation from the youngest to the oldest. Our people have a variety of needs - physical, emotional and spiritual. These different situations need to be understood and addressed sensitively.
We believe that Mission involves sharing our faith by caring for the emotional and physical needs of those in our community and in various ways proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.
We recognise that Mission involves the support of various charities and ministries within the local community as well as nationally and internationally.
